Don't submit unfinished things. What's the point of that anyway? Would you expect good remarks if you sent thru a half-finished homework assignment? Not really. How about half-cooked dinner? Not. So why submit bits and pieces here? Please don't.

Finish THEN submit. :)

i'm just seeing what i could do to improve it from the reviews. but i see what your saying. :D

This is a Stencyl tutorial. Don't submit whatever comes out of a tutorial. Many people do that, so this is already on here. Do you know how many times this has been put up already? Here's a clue:

Which looks looks just like this one: http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view /592450

And almost like this one: http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view /590439

Or this one: http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view /593630

But at least this guy changed colors: http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view /592752

Don't feel bad. It's a typical noob mistake, since you haven't been around a while. Hopefully, though, this review will help you to realize what goes on around here, since you've only been using Stencyl a short time. People get Stencyl or The Games Factory 2 and they do a tutorial and they decide to submit what they created. The problem is that 75 other people have done the same tutorial within the last month, so 74 versions of the same game came thru. (One person had the sense to hold out.) If the game works 100%, then it helps, but more often than not, the tutorial produces a game that isn't 100% functional.

Listen to what people say in their reviews. They'll offer tips to help improve (well, some will). For this game, I'd suggest changing the jump button. If you're going to have arrow keys for movement, have an arrow key for jump as well.

Next, please DO what people tell you in their reviews BEFORE you submit another game. That way you've actually done something to improve what you have and you won't be submitting the same stuff over and over like some people do.

Lastly, you could submit a new version with every change, but why waste your time and ours? Please finish your items before you send them in. Why submit half a game, y'know? Don't just finish it til it works, but finish it to the best it can be, and THEN submit it. That way, you won't have an account filled with bits and pieces of things.

Hope this helps.

Don't submit Stencyl tutorials. This game is already on here in several places, although you did make some original levels. It's still straight out of the tutorial, though.

This is yet another example of why nothing from The Games Factory 2 should ever be submitted.

Thank you SO much for your review, it has helped a lot, i will try to make a better game next time :)

Well done. :)

Although these are more of a 'path' than a 'maze,' this was enjoyable. I like that the path was wide all the way thru. I hate it when people make these and they have the path drop down to like 5 pixels wide and force you to navigate thru it. I like the checkpoint system. I clicked by accident, and lost. It was nice not to have to replay everything. Some music would be nice. Something soft and laid back, or mystical. Not something rocky or grating, as this isn't an action game. Take a run thru my favorites. The only problem I found was that the replay button didn't work. Other than that, nice job and enjoyable game. :)

You made this from a tutorial, didn't you. I used to think this was something that someone made. Not the best, not even good, but still playable. Then another came thru that's built the same exact way. And another. And another. Eventually, I figured it out- it's a tutorial from somewhere.

Because you haven't been around Newgrounds, you may not understand. There are LOTS of these around here. I don't know yet where exactly this tutorial comes from or what software it is, but I know it's the basic tutorial because there are so many of these that are exactly the same. Because they go under different names, it's impossible for me to show you how many, but they're all over the place.

This one is playable, but barely. It has the standard square box for the enemies to walk around. The enemies are the same as usual. It has the same guns from the tutorial cuz they weren't changed. There's no replay button, though. No music. No sounds. Maybe I should say that it's startable instead of playable.

I know it's your first game, but this needs a lot more work to be passable. Please keep working on it, but please don't submit every new template you finish like some people do. There was a guy last week who had 27 games which all had low scores because he kept submitting the same things with minor changes and nothing worked well. All his scores were in the 1.0 to 1.75 range. He got frustrated and deleted his account a few days ago. I don't think Newgrounds deletes accounts that are full of poor scoring items, but he sure qualified. He won't be missed. Don't be like him.

Practice and make something good, and when you enjoy playing your game, then we might enjoy it also. Make it the best it can be before you submit it. If it's only a game that works but isn't good or fun, the score will be low. No one wants their account filled up with low scoring stuff, right? Do your best, and good luck. :)

LambGamer responds:

Thankyou very much for the input i will do as you say maybe in a couple of weeks time i will resubmit it much better and more original thanks :)

You have 2 versions of this up here already. Stop submitting the same thing over and over. It IS one of the Newgrounds rules.

Is this a Stencyl tutorial? Don't submit Stencyl tutorials!

Many people do that, and this game is already on here: http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view /591613

This is a Stencyl tutorial! Please don't submit anything that comes from a game software tutorial. Do you realize how many of these are on here already?! No, cuz you're new.

I'm only using it as an engine my friend haha.

I'm changing everything when I get the time, if you don't like it. than I don't mind. But when I'm done with it, it will be better and the characters and all the details will be completely different. And as you can see, this is not submitted as full nor complete. But like I said, if you don't like it, than don't bother with it. At least I'm going to change it completely with my own characters either than those guys you listed! haha
