The music is good. The idea is good. There's just not enough time. How can I click on 50 squares in 30 seconds when their score decreases with time? Also, sometimes there is only one square on the screen for me to click, and I need to click two per second.

As far as remaining on the site, though, I've got to say that it's lacking. :\ 0/5

Newgrounds is for finished items. But people have been submitting tests, demos, parts, bits, and such for so long that it's started to get thru, and now people don't know what to do. This is a good example. It's kinda good, so should it get blammed? It's not a story, a finished game, a completed project; it's playable, but unfinished. Should it stay on here with the finished items? This is good, but it's totally lacking in what it needs to stay.

If it passes, this will forever be an unfinshed bit floating around here, since you won't ever finish it. You'll upload the finished item as a new file, and we'll have both here.

And that's one of the biggest problems Newgrounds has now. Unfinished bits and what to do with them. :\

Please only submit finished items. :)

I liked it! I haven't played 1. I wish the typed words at the bottom would go faster. I also wish you wouldn't have turned off the right-click function so I could adjust the quality if need be. I didn't need the hints, but I like the way you give hints, but not spell it all out. Nice. :)

[Crazy Balls Remake]

This so close to being good, but it's just not good. Yet.

1. The font for the upgrades is unreadable. Change it to a standard font.

2. Get rid of the red ones. It's impossible to miss them sometimes without letting a green one thru. The red one should GIVE you a life when they get thru. That would make it worth missing a green one.

3. Reset the ball faster, and set it that if the power is 0 then the ball doesn't shoot until the next click is registered. Often, I'd click before the green ball was off the screen, so when the new one showed up, the computer registered me having already clicked, but wouldn't grow my power. Once I release the mouse button, the ball just falls straight down. If I'd clicked again, the next one does the same thing.

4 Add a NEXT button after each level. The game says it's paused, but it's not. When I get to the upgrade screen, the squares start coming anyway.

5. Give me more lives! 3 balls/lives? That makes the game too quick. Every game is all of level 1 and part of level2. That's it. Give me 20 so I can take some damage and still keep playing.

6. The words that come up in the background fade out too fast. It's difficult or impossible to read them before they go away; especially if enemies are coming and you have to look at them.

The music is good. The idea for the game is good. The graphics are good. There are just some things that aren't right yet.

This could be good.

But the changing the color thing kills it. Especially at a cost to change the color. But then again, they're all the same color! What color are they? Well, they're black again, and still with a green health bar, but my guns aren't shooting at them. WTF?? Time to change a color and hope I can kill something in time. Nope, can't do it.

Everything's really small and/or not easy to find. Where's my money? I never did find it. There are words at the bottom of the screen, but they hide into the background. The white background isn't good, though. It needs to look like a path with green grass and tan dirt. In maze mode, they just go wherever, and there's no way to build enough guns to form a maze before you die.

The difficulty gets too high too quick on maze mode. It's difficult to upgrade and watch what's going on and build new while waiting for funds. Path mode is ok, until they change color, and then you die.

The music is good and appropriate for the theme.

All in all, it's got most of what it needs, but isn't quite enjoyable yet.

This game is so awesome! it's cool to watch and to play. It reminds me of the video "Beyond The Mind's Eye" which was cool. This was great...until the extra-long jumps come. They are so annoying and difficult that they negatively affected your score. If you add yellow track to indicate that they're coming, it'd help, but I'd rather see them removed as they suck a lot of the fun out of the game. I stopped at level 21. :\

Hi. Welcome to Newgrounds.

Don't submit tests. This isn't Testgrounds. Newgrounds is for people to show their finished items. This isn't finished, so why submit a part or a bit, y'know?

The problem is not if it's bad, but rather if it's good. When it's bad, it gets a low score and gets blammed and is forgotten and gone. Done.

If it's a 'good' piece, then people get confused and may pass it. The problem is that then we've got a fragment of a piece of a bit of a game floating around newgrounds forever, and what's the point of that? That's not what Newgrounds is about.

What's here isn't bad. But if it passes, it'll be forever unfinished, because if you complete this into a full game, you'll submit the finished item as a separate item and we'll have both finished and unfinished items floating around here, and that's not what Newgrounds is for.

It's not bad. Just, please send thru completed items. :) Finish, THEN submit.

good point but to be totally clear, if this passes, is it that i can then not change the swf for an updated version in any way? only submit a new separate version?... does that also work the same way when its only being set to be privately viewed? if so i understand your concern, loads of unfinished bits of games all over the place cannot be a good thing i agree!
