Isn't this a Stencyl tutorial?

Please don't submit things that come from tutorials. They count as public files, since they're available to everyone. And when you do tutorials, you're not actually creating your own game. You're following steps to re-create someone else's game, and so, that's why they're actually against the rules. Submissions must be your own creation.

This wasn't bad, as far as it looks decent and the controls work, but it should, since that's what tutorials do. Since it's a Stencyl platform tutorial, it might be removed.

Keep working at it. Just make it all your own.

ya i added alot of my own things but ya your right it was my first time using stencyl i usually use unity thats why i started with example. now i know how to use stencyl i will be creating my own idea. thanks for the feedback

People like you are slowly ruining the Stencyl name.

Did you try this before you submitted it? Was 3 hours all you could wait having this in your news post, and with no responses, you had to submit it?

First of all, it's a Strencyl tutorial, and those don't count as your game since you're re-creating someone else's game. You've been told about this, and that why many of your games have been removed.

Second, this DOESN'T WORK!! If you wait long enough on level 1, the stack will fall on its own. I fired a ball slowly just to het it into frame, and the stack fell over before the ball even got there. Win.

Level 2 shakes like an old man on too much caffeine. It might fall, but even if it doesn't, there's no gravity. You shoot and everything floats inthe air!

Take time on your game. Don't just submit the first thing that you put together that works the way you want. ...or doesn't. Take some pride in your work, but in order to do that, you have to actually work at something and produce something decent. Your account is full of low scores, and if you keep doing the same thing, you'll get more of the same thing.

I would love for you to explain to me just what part is from a tutorial. I created this from a blank game. I gave credit to all artwork that I used.The game is on StencylForge as well. Feel free to download it and look through the behaviors and then you can see that none of it is "from a Stencyl platform tutorial"

What you have looks, plays, and sounds decent, but there's not nearly enough to it yet, which makes it kinda pointless to submit.

Please don't submit tests to the Portal. If you want feedback and tips, that's fine, but this isn't the best place for this. The Portal is for finished items. The Forums are what you want. Load this into your Dumping Grounds. It's the third icon from the left at the very top of the page when you're signed in. It looks like a bucket with an arrow pointing down. Once it's loaded there, copy and paste the link into the Forums (Community>Forums). That way, people see it and give tips, which is what you want, but it's not in the Portal, filling your account with low scores or blams, which you don't want.

Did you make sure it worked before you submitted it? On the first level, in the 3rd(?) room, there's a high platform on the left and a short one with an alien on the right. I can't make it on to that platform. I can't jump or I'll hit the roof. I can't run and land on it; he misses every time. If I can't get over there, then I can't proceed. Who wants to play a game where you can't get anywhere? :\

Jump right before you fall off the platform and you should easily clear the alien. I am aware of some of the bugs and I am working to fix them as we speak but that isn't one of them. It isn't easy true but it is possible.

I hate hearing the people say "this should have [enemies/powerups/etc.]."

It's not that kind of a game. It's a thread the needle and you win type of game, not an RPG, Mario-clone, Final Fantasy clone, shooter, etc.

I agree that the balance is rage inducing. This review is much nicer thenth e one I typed earlier and didn't submit. MANY bad words were said. :\ ...not in the review; during gameplay.

If there wasn't the walkthrough, I'd have quit much earlier, thinking they might not be actually winnable.

As for what people have said about the WASD keys, these are the normal controls for this type of game.
UP/W = forward
DOWN/S = reverse
LEFT, RIGHT/A,D to lean forward or backward.
These are what all the dirtbike games use for controls, so stop your bitchin' people. You don't complain in the reviews on those, so it's not right to do it here.

The only glitch(?) I found was that after playing a level, lose or not, I was able to advance to the next. I beat 1 and 2 and went to 9 and 10. I'm ok with that, though.

So, ignore those people who expect to win the first time thru. It's an extremely challen... HARD game! That what it is. That's how you made it to be. You have that right.

...of course, that's only cuz I'm calmed down now. A few hours ago, I just might have been calling creatures from the underworld to deal with you. ;)

HARD, but decently good game.
