74 mb for 8 seconds is abusive. Really. That's way too big of a file for such a small 'reward.'

With that being said, please don't submit tests to the Portal. If you want feedback and tips, that's fine, but this isn't the best place for this. The Portal is for finished items. The Forums are what you want. Load this into your Dumping Grounds. It's the third icon from the left at the very top of the page when you're signed in. It looks like a bucket with an arrow pointing down. Once it's loaded there, copy and paste the link into the Forums (Community>Forums). That way, people see it and give tips, which is what you want, but it's not in the Portal, filling your account with low scores or blams, which you don't want.

Your other one was random, interesting, and is a short, but good submission. This one's not good. I waited and then typed this entire message, and it's still not loaded or playing. :\

Good luck! :)

Kurk44 responds:

Thank you very much for that message, this was my first entry to NG, so I wasn't really sure what kind of stuff I should post. I wasn't too confident in posting this one, so I'll probably take it down. Also, I believe I messed up when I uploaded the file so that's probably why it doesn't load properly. This work isn't a very accurate reflection of how I work considering how old it is and how much I've improved from then. I'll remember what you said next time I go post something and hopefully my other entries will be much more successful. Always learning from my mistakes ^^""

While this is an animation, of sorts, this isn't the best place for this. The Portal is for finished items like animated stories and games. The Forums are what you want. You can put a request there, and even load this up into your request post. Load this into your Dumping Grounds. It's the third icon from the left at the very top of the page when you're signed in. I remember that game. I won. I don't understand why everyone had so much difficulty with it.

Audio goes in the Audio Portal, there guy. This is the animation Portal.

Disco balls are round...

...you know where I'm goin' with this. ;)

Actually, the movement is good, but the visuals and the sound are both fuzzy. Here's a link to a tutorial that will help with the sound:
VO Home Studio Space by Ricepirate:

(you'll have to remove the space when you copy & paste)

As for the visuals, I don't know how to improve those. It may be the settings or it may be the camera itself. :\

Newgrounds has always been for animations and games. When they brought out the capability to upload in MP4, which is considered a video format, Tom was concerned about doing so. Yes, there are a few other real video submissions here. I know. Just because you can doesn't mean it's encouraged.

Still, it goes against the heart of what Newgrounds is all about. Newgrounds was started as a site for flash artists to showcase their work. It has remained a site dedicated to flash animations and games for over a decade.

We like to keep it that way, since there are plenty of sites for videos. Sites that caiter to Flash animations and games are less common, and Newgrounds, in our opinion, is the best. We'd like to keep it that way.

If you submit this here, your score will suffer from what you might get on youtube. (Well, "likes" on youtube, not "score.")

nuFF3 responds:

A bit conservative I guess? Well, have a nice day.

The story isn't really interesting, but that's not the biggest problem.

The thing that kills this is the movement. Having a slight twinge or shift to the lines is fine, but when you make the changes too big, it makes the piece hard to watch, and that's what you've got here. The difference between the 2 drawings that create the shifting effect are too varied and it makes it hard to watch.

Try to keep the pics fairly similar, but with only slight differences.

Mothrich responds:

Hi and thanks for your criticism. There are 10 episodes. The story is more relevant starting with ep 2 to ep 10. I can upload only 2 vids per day, sry for that.

BR,
Mothrich

amplefied responds:

Dude, I've been here since 2001.

Don't resubmit things that have been removed.

Belthagor responds:

this has been removed?

When I submitted, recently, it said I forgot to do two of the steps, which I then did so I assumed it hasn't been published in the first place a long time ago when I clicked publish........
