What you have looks, plays, and sounds decent, but there's not nearly enough to it yet, which makes it kinda pointless to submit.

The control is fine. The music is good. The background sometime moves way too much when you jump, making it rough to watch. Backgrounds should only slightly move since they're far away. When he squishes against a wall, that's just weird.

With that being said, please don't submit tests to the Portal. If you want feedback and tips, that's fine, but this isn't the best place for this. The Portal is for finished items. The Forums are what you want. Load this into your Dumping Grounds. It's the third icon from the left at the very top of the page when you're signed in. It looks like a bucket with an arrow pointing down. Once it's loaded there, copy and paste the link into the Forums (Community>Forums). That way, people see it and give tips, which is what you want, but it's not in the Portal, filling your account with low scores or blams, which you don't want.

Good luck! :)

Man, I just have to say... Thank you. I really think you gave me hope. I have just barely began creating games and such, and I want to make it up there with the big league. I will take your advice, and set out on my journey.

None of the controls work. All it does is flop around and knock things off the table.

3D-xelu responds:

Hey, yeah that's a common bug. Check "Report a bug" section, we have a FAQ there and tutorial on how to fix it, sorry about that

It sux going all the way back to the beginning each time. Especially when the controls occasionally forget to respond.

Also, make WASD available as an option for movement and make the SPACE bar replay the game if you die. Since you have to use the arrow keys and the mouse to start, it's a hassle to go from the keys to the mouse and back again.

Isn't this a Stencyl tutorial?

Alright, that's quite enough. It says I unlocked "The Easy Part" medal 44 minutes ago, and "Ad-thusiast" medal 33 mninutes ago, but I haven't gotten the "Ad nausium" medal yet. It's been on 26 for quite some time and just turned over to 27. That's bogus.

This is tying up my computer while I wait for this. Ten minutes of waiting is a rude prank, but is still a prank, 45 minutes (so far) is fakkin outta line. How can I go enjoy other submissions while you're BS is tying up my sound? How can I do work on my own stuff with you tying up my sound?

It should be worth 100 points, and it should be reduced in time. This will affect your score. What good is it when people get the medal, but hate the game afterwards. I gave you a passing score for the game, but if I was voting now, I wouldn't. The longer this goes on, the more I hate your game. You might want to think about such things before you do this again. :\

supercomputer276 responds:

Yeah, in hindsight, having it pick a new commercial from a repeat only half the time was a dumb idea. I've updated it so there's no repeats until every commercial has been played. My apologies.

I don't want to have to register to play this! Make it a playable demo or please don't put it up here on Newgrounds.

Technicept responds:

Exedor, I appreciate your feedback and you are entitled to your opinion, but why rate it 0? I spent countless hours making this game. If you're not going to even try it before rating it, what's the point in rating it low because you don't want to register? You're just making it harder to find for people who are interested in it.

The only reason you have to register is to be able to track your wins, losses, and items... Also, I didn't see anything in the rules about not having a login system to track progress. Was I missing something?

This game was a whole lot of fun! The music fits perfectly.

I really wanted to get to a high level on this, but the only problem I found is the biggest issue: Sometimes, the key sticks and keep going in a direction when you let off the key, thus causing you to run into something when it doesn't stop and keeps going. Without the right-click menu working, there was no way to lower the adjust the quality to see if that would help. Having optional mouse controls would help with that problem. Otherwise, it was great. :0

BobsBox responds:

Ah apologies on the right click front! It's a minigame from a much bigger project we are working on (which does have quality toggles in the options), this however has been overlooked here, thanks for the input! In terms of sticky controls as explained below I think the square moves too much with each key press, which may cuase problems and of course lag may get in the way as welll without an option to toggle quality, I hope we can satisfy all your gaming needs when the full project is released! Thanks for playing and reviewing!
