While this wasn't horrible, it was horribly unrefined!

The animation was choppy and there were spots that were left uncolored. The choppiness indicates that you're too anxious to get it done, vs taking time to do all the drawings necessary to smooth it out. The uncolored parts indicate that you don't care about the details.

The sound was so bad that I had to watch twice to figure out what was going on, and still haven't figured out what he said right before "...videos on youtube." Go to my most recent news post. Toward the bottom, there's a part about sound quality. Watch that tutorial by Ricepirate! It'll definately help you!

Lastly, your video mentions youtube. This is not youtube, but this shows that you found us and instantly wanted to submit something, without taking the community into consideration. A lot of crap comes over here from youtube, so it's not as well liked around here as it could be. Submitting this video to us is like when someone you know calls you by someone else's name. While it could be an honest mistake, it still doesn't feel good.

I see potential in you, but this is not at all a good example of it. Take pride in what you create, but create things you can take pride in. Again, go check out my news post for hopefully helpful things. :)

Lol you make a great point. i was in fact tired because i work as a sceurity guard. and i dont come home until 8 in the morning. But Thank you for the helpful comments. Yeah im kinda new to new grounds so i do need to be carful on how i post things. =_= and i need to buy better recording equipment. Like i told my friend already. sorry you had to go watch it over to understand it. i do take pried in my work lol but I'm barely starting out. your advice is really helpful and boosted my sprite. so i will do better.

Well, he's definately running. Actually, what you have is pretty good for what it it is. You're definately off on the right track. The problem is that's all it is, y'know?

Please do not submit tests or incomplete items to the Portal. If everyone submits parts and bits and incomplete things, who will want to come to Newgrounds?

If you want feedback and tips, that's fine, but this isn't the best place for this. The Portal is for finished items. The Forums are what you want. Load this into your Dumping Grounds. It's the third icon from the left at the very top of the page when you're signed in. It looks like a bucket with an arrow pointing down. Once it's loaded there, copy and paste the link into the Forums (Community>Forums). That way, people see it and give tips, which is what you want, but it's not in the Portal, filling your account with low scores or blams, which you don't want.

Good luck. :)

ArtisticNinja responds:

Didn't have a clue what the dumping grounds were, I was going to make a flash video of this, just need a few days to make something properly, and I do have some full animations to put up :D Just wanted to see what the first one would be like :D

I was also testing to see how sfw files worked :D

This is a great start. The animation is fluid but there's no story, music, or plot, and that makes it a pointless submission.

Wow, this seems so familiar.... It's almost like I've told you this already....

Have you seen US at all?

This is Newgrounds. A community of artists with a nifty place to show our animations, games, and other creations. Don't come here and try to take us over to youtube. YOU come over here. It's ok. Upload some of your animations. We'd like to see them. But don't come over here and expect us to go over there. You come here instead.

Your animation was well done, but was pointless, as it was basically an ad for your youtube pages.

Why would we go there to watch things when we can stay here and watch things? Think about it.

bidoofgoo responds:

Valid point... valid point... though g4l is a crew that makes videos of al kind. Mainly youtube videos (you cant just fucking put let's plays on newgrounds... that would be crappy, lame, and not fun.)
Don't worry, there will be animations that will be put on newgrounds.

PIEMANLOLOLXD responds:

Ahh k thanks! Sorry, as you can see I am a noob and sorry for the test

Actually, that wasn't half bad. It just wasn't awesomely good either. :\

You've got a great grasp of lipsync and mouth movements, and your audio is good. Now, you just need to to start on something a little bigger and more meaningful. You've got great skills, so I look forward to seeing what you can make when you spend more than a day on it. Spend some time, make a great story, and I look forward to seeing what you come up with. :)

Greasegoat responds:

I already have a idea for a story and thanks for the review.

As cool as this is, content uploaded to Newgrounds must be your own work. Taking someone else's work and remixing it doesn't make it your own. :\

If you have anything you (or your team) completely did yourselves, then please upload it, cuz we'd love to see it. But submitted content has to be your own work.

Shadowspartanx66 responds:

Really? :( ....

Newgrounds is for animations and games. Take this to youtube.

SuperMarikoBro responds:

I'm sorry I didn't know that. I simply use NG to upload my stuff since Fileize is now failing on me.
If you don't want me to continue what I'm doing, I'll just move to FastSWF or Puush for that matter.

+This wasn't an animation for story, music, or plot. This was a Graphics Kit I made from Flash
compiling all the numerous effects that I gathered from experience. I was simply animating
the new effects that I had compiled together.

Newgrounds is for animations and games. You should know that by now. :\
