Change the name. :)
From Podo vs Apricot test to Podo vs Apricot Short.
I've been telling a lot of people lately not to submit tests to the Portal. All tests are incomplete fragments, and they don't deserve to be on Newgrounds.
This, however, is not a test. This is cool! It was drawn well, nice sound, nice music, and a nice, comical end. It qualifies as a 'short' instead of a 'test.' Nice! :D
Please change the name and it'll fit right in. :)
It looks good, but it's unfinished.
Or it's too short. It's a fragment of a flash, and this causes problems. :\
The problem is not if it's bad, the problem is if it's good. If it's bad, then it gets a bad score, gets deleted and goes away. Done. End of story.
But if it's good, it may pass. If that happens, then we have a part of a bit of a piece of a flash floating around here forever. It never finishes itself as it grows up. It stays as a fragment forever.
For that reason, please don't submit tests or unfinished things. I fully believe this will pass, and so we'll have another flash part floating around Newgrounds forever. :\
Im sorry for sending this in unfinished..i was very excited about what i did and thought "HEY,i should upload this to newgrounds it'll be my first submission :D"...
and you have a point..eheh..it doesn't look like its either too short or unfinished so the next time i send this or anything else i do in..they'll all be finished.thank you very much for your review
Yup. But...
Yup. I agree. Actually, the LL usually submit more decent stuff than the CC does. Not always, but more. KK is always crap. I've found a some LL flashes that are good. I even have a CC in my favs, surprisingly. It's rare, though.
As far as spam week goes, I'm mad about it too. All you can do is hit 0 and hope enough others do too.
But if you submit dumb stuff too, then you're no better than them. Well, only slightly better than them. :) Sometimes on Lock Day or Clock Day, someone will submit something that says "IF YOU THINK THE CLOCK CREW SUCK, THEN VOTE 5!!" and of course, it always gets a few votes, but gets blammed anyway. After all, it's still a suck flash, y'know.
So, I gave you a 0/5 on this one, but I do agree with ya. Help me vote them down. That's all we can do.
I wish I had Flash. :'( I won CS4 on ebay but the guy had low/bad feedback and now it's been 2+ weeks, so I think he skipped out on me.
Please rate just on...
NO! This isn't Testgrounds! You can't just say "please rate on part but not the other..." You have put us in a bind, and here's why:
This "animation" is a fragment. It's a piece of what could eventually be turned into a video, but for now, it's nothing more than a part or a bit.
There have been lots of flash parts and bits coming thru recently. The problem is not if it's bad, but rather if it's good. When it's bad, it gets a low score and gets blammed and is forgotten and gone. Done.
If it's a 'good' piece, then people get confused and may pass it. The problem is that then we've got a fragent of a piece of a bit of a flash floating around newgrounds forever.
Newgrounds is for FINISHED items. It's not good to have fragments floating around with people going, '...WTF is this??!?' when they find it.
Finish your projects and THEN submit them.
As for this flash, the drawings aren't bad, but could still be 'refined' more. The music is good. Even the pictures toward the end are ok, as they continue the story. A story can be told really well with just pictures. See "My Angel" in my favorites. It's a simple, yet awesome flash.
This fragment is too small, though. Please finish before you submit. If you need ideas or suggestions, watch more stuff on Newgrounds. You'll eventually get new ideas of your own, not copying someone else's ideas or work like some people here do.
What a fantastic little tale.
I think I'm going to like these. :)
YAY! :D
It's always a good day when Ross submits something! :D
Now, I like Hank, I like colors, I like voices. But it's nice to get back to the roots here. It also allows for a variety, rather than being bound to having only one character or storyline. Generic characters are ok too. :)
Dood! Ask them to increase you file size limit!!
You can request an increase in the size limit for your downloads. I've told you this before. The newest Madness is 17.4 MB, Road of the Dead is 24.5 MB, but you limit yourself to less than 10!! >:(
I would very much like to see you submit things unrestricted by file size!! :)
You do awesome work. I can only imagine what could be done when you don't have to limit your downloads! :)
